November 2008	The new Cornwall photos are now live with new galleries for: Lanhydrock House Bodmin Jail Stepper Point St Enodoc's Church The Camel Estuary Gulland Rock Trevose Head and Tintagel. The following pages have had a make-over with lots of new photos: Port Isaac Port Gaverne Pentire Point and the Rumps and the Bodmin and Wenford Railway There is also a new gazetteer entry for the Berry Tower in Bodmin and a short article on Port Quin.
October 2008	At long last I've finished off the last two Uganda pages on: Jinja Town and Naminya as well as writing a brief entry on the Medieval Moot at Pamphill in Dorset. Part of the delay has been down to spending a week down in Port Isaac in Cornwall. We were blessed with some really fine weather, so expect a whole lot of new coastal walk photos soon. In the meantime, there are a couple of new galleries featuring Wells Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace in Somerset, and a new article on Fishguard (Abergwaum) in Pembrokeshire (Penfro).
September 2008	I've now finished the Queen Elizabeth National Park stuff with short articles on: the Northern Circuit and the Mweya Area. I've also written up the Bujagali Falls near Jinja.
August 2008	I'm continuing to write up the Uganda stuff and have nearly finished the Queen Elizabeth National Park stuff with on: Ishasha, the Kazinga Channel, the Kyambura Gorge, the Southern Hills and Jacana Lodge
July 2008	I've now added some words to the following pages in the Uganda section: Kitgum, the Source of the Nile, the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, the Kasubi Tombs, the Ndere Dancers and the rest of Kampala the Birira Valley and Lake Mburo National Park. There is a new gallery for Exmouth in Devon. Actually there are a couple of shots of Topsham railway station in there as well, but who's quibbling? Also new this month is a fantastic walk around Salisbury and Harnham in Wiltshire.
May 2008	New this month is a walk along Fontmell Down in North Dorset. I also got around to taking the one missing photo I needed to convert the Priors Copse walk to the new Google Maps format. The Exbury Gardens page has had a spring clean with a whole lot of new images and a separate section for the Exbury Gardens Railway. There is now a new gallery of photos from Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire.
May 2008	At long last the Uganda photographs are live. It's taken an age not only to process them but also to weed them down to something like manageable numbers. It's only galleries at the moment; I'll get around to writing some text to go with them one of these days.
April 2008	Just got back from spending over two weeks in Uganda. Not sure how the photos from that trip fit into a site that started of covering just the New Forest. Talk about scope creep! I'm working my way through the photos and they should be appearing here shortly. In the meantime there are some new photos in the Portsmouth and Wimborne Galleries. Google have finally got around to producing high resolution images for Wales in both Google Earth and Google Maps, and I have updated my push-pins accordingly That just leaves the Highlands of Scotland.
March 2008	Not a lot happening on the web site as we are busy planning the trip of a lifetime. My daughter is working out in Uganda for a year and we are going out there to meet her.
February 2008	Well it wouldn't be the first IT project to overrun! Although there is still a lot of tidying up to do, the re-write of the site is substantially complete, and I can get back to producing new content. So far, all there is is a new page on the RSPB Reserve at Arne and a page on the Atomium in Brussels.
January 2008	Not much new showing on the surface this month, as I have made a start on removing the layout tables from the site and replacing them with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). I'm discovering that you can do all sorts of clever things with style sheets, and as a consequence, things like the Geographic index now load much more quickly. However, superficially, everything looks much the same. With a bit of luck I'll tear myself away from the code and get some new content up later this month. Well, stranger things have been known to happen. The shop has now closed for business (no great loss, if truth be told) as Photobox have stopped their excellent Print Button service following their recent take over. I'm looking at alternatives and hope to re-open later in the year.
December 2007	Still working my way through the last few strolls converting them to the new Google Maps format. This month I've applied it to the following strolls: Tout Quarry, Castle Hill, Gorley Common and Chalbury I've also added a short piece on Fort Henry above Studland Bay in Dorset.
