Burnham Overy Staithe is a pleasant spot, popular with artists. For the walker, the main attraction is the sea wall protecting the reclaimed salt marshes behind Holkham Bay.

This provides a high, dry, satisfyingly bendy (compared to its counterpart at Wells-Next-the-Sea) pathway to the sea.
