What is the 'Strolling Guides Link Checker'

If you are reading this I'm guessing you are a Webmaster, and have spotted a User-Agent identifying itself as "Strolling Guides Link Checker" in your logs.

From time to time (well about every six months on current form) I batch test all the links on my site using bespoke code based on the http_get_url.inc library written by Daniel Boesswetter and Patrice Labracherie available on http://www.phpbuilder.com/

I have to say I don't fully understand their code but it seems to work. If you are experiencing any problems, please let me know via my contact page.

If you are interested in where your link is, most of them should be easy enough to track down through the Site Map or the Main Indexes, apart from those on the General Links page. Needless to say a link back would be much appreciated.
