There is a lot more to the village of Cheddar and its surrounding area than just the caves. But unfortunately I don't have any photos of other attractions, such as Jacob's Ladder, the magnificent gorge (England's deepest) or the village itself.
There are two main show caves: Gough's and Cox's (now marketed as Dreamhunters). Of the two, Gough's is the more spectacular, featuring artificially created flooded mirror pools which create mini caves within the cave.
It felt to me, at times, like I had fallen into a Mandelbrot set, and that if only I could shrink down enough to fit into one of the pools, there would be further worlds within worlds.
One of these days I'd like to get back there and photograph some of the surrounding area, particularly the gorge with its spectacular cliffs, but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.
