If this were North Cornwall, Coonanna, and its neighbour Cooncrome would be busy little fishing villages.

Here with the vast safe anchorage of Valentia Harbour just around the corner there is no need to resort to such tiny coves, which are, therefore, virtually un-developed. Just a jetty, a few houses and some inshore fishermen's huts.

And, of course, the peace and quiet, the wildlife and the magnificent scenery.
