Ignoring the rather naff dinosaur diorama, Treasures of the Earth at Corpach just outside Fort William, houses probably one of the finest collections of geological specimens in the UK outside the Kensington's Geological Museum (now called The Natural History Museum's Red Zone, for reasons known only to their marketing department).
Also on site is a shop selling a fine range of gemstones, crystals and jewellery.

having been driving coaches on tours for nearly 30 years it is always nice to find somewhere you are made to feel so welcome and special, i mean that from the passenger point of view .. not mine, even though i was treated with the utmost politeness and courtesy i hasten to add!!! the number of times i visited this site is many, but every time i visited with my coach parties the welcome we received was ALWAYS friendly, warm and heartfelt. IRENE and the girls always make time to talk to you and to explain how many of the items are made and fashioned into jewellry. nothing is too much trouble for them. if you are visiting the area then call in. whenever i am in the highlands....i make a point of it.....my thanks ladies....and continued success.
